new firmware available. 260211

"Optimized the image effects"

EDIT: Just updated and about to have a little play. First thing I noticed was some of the most shocking image stabilization I have ever experienced. In horror I disabled EIS... all fine. I re-enabled it... all fine again. Phew

If you update and get the same, switch EIS off then on again.

have you installed it and tried it?
Yes, giving them a run now to see if any noticeable improvements. It screwed EIS first of all, but turning it off and on fixed it. I am hoping that suggests this is the area they have tweaked, but it obviously couldn't cope with EIS being on immediately after the update.

It's dark but I've just tried them out outside and it does seem to be an improvement with the image stabilisation. Gone is the juddering lag of the previous firmware
Thanks, I'll download it tomorrow. I currently have EIS turned off as its a pain. Hoping Pixfra can get the stabilization as good as it is on the Habroks

They sorted the LRF anymore or removed the need to cycle through thermal - day optical - night optical every time?
Still cycling day/night/thermal unfortunately.

The LRF "issue" is basically just a settings thing that people have worked out now.

No change to the LRF duration times, which I would also like to see (single/triggered means you've no idea where the crosshair is when you press to range, so miss. I have mine set to range for the minimum time, which is 15 seconds and way too long. I'd be happy with 5-7 seconds)

No point updating then. Least they are doing them I guess

What's your issue with the LFR? Cross hair was sorted in the last update. Agree I would like to see a shorted trigger time but 15 seconds isn't a huge issue
Trigger time. Once means you range pretty much anything and then it shuts off. 15 seconds means you flashing a 850nm laser at your quarry for 15 seconds before it turns off. Also if you are running in B&W it means you can’t use the B&W optical until the 15 second window is over as it wipes it out.

Installed the latest firmware and had the Draco's out on Saturday.

Definite improvement to the image stabilisation, not sure its quite as good as the Habroks, but then the Image Stabilisation on the Habroks only worked at max zoom, whereas it seems to work over the full zoom range of the Draco's.

Auto recalibration is also much improved. With the older firmware the image would darken after recalibration before brightening up again. Now you hardly notice it recalibrating.

I also think the general image quality has improved, but it was a bright clear morning so i can't be sure if that was just my imagination!

@Blackwood Outdoors are there release notes to accompany the update? I couldn't fine any on the website.

After a "quick test only" with the latest firmware (2026211) to me the thermal image and the Image Stabilization seems improved at least.
I too looked for the firmware release notes but found nothing. Even on Thomas Jacks facebook ...they only have the previous version release notes.
Its very annoying when you don't know what to expect/has been changed.
