Hi all just got to play with my new custom .243 rifle.
The build goes like this remy action the older blued one ie the best one.
28" t2 contured stainless fluted barrel 1-8 twist throated for 105 A MAX.
beded into a major john plaster sniper stock.
scope is a leupold 6.5 20 50 mk4 lrt mill dot.
how does it shoot 3 shots into 0.179 at 100 meters i will try to upload a pic of the rifle and target just to keep my mate buggsy happy.
near forgot the load.
bullet 105 amax
h4831sc powder 42gr
coal 2.824
10 thou of the lands
primer is fed gmm.

Can you provide more details about the stock. I have never heard of a major john plaster sniper stock.

After a little google it would appear a choate stock designed by the major.

Hi yes choate stock not my first choice but cheap out of the good old usa 82 dollors or 51 pounds + duty on eblag. i would have liked a mcmillian but so expensive.
the rifle is not designed for stalking but range work and longrange foxing from a high seat or 4x4 as the weight is 16.5 lb.
i have a sauer 202 left handed in 30/06 for deer and love it.cheers for the replys lads.

Aha.......... didn't see this, im surprised your grouping is wide as that , maybe your needing a helping hand to fine tune it ,tell you what am coming over on the rib with "Sparky" so give me 3 minutes at one of those live targets and we'll see how good it is see you very soon Nig

Me .....fine tune it, think sparky and yourself will agree am needing tae fine tune maself !. Pity I never got a shot o the 243 but the other" shots" a had made up for it , next time maybe, cheers nig

Not to shabby for only the second load i tryed through it bugsy.Thats three shots.
