I've posted this in "General", because I think people need to be aware.............
The number of new "Thermal dealers" popping up almost daily, with the product range always nigh on identical to each other. I'm struggling to believe that the Manufacturers/ importers are just handing out dealerships to all, and sundry, they generally have strict criteria before you can become a dealer, so to me at least, they're suspicious, & should be treated with caution.
To qualify, I was curious to know who all these new dealers are. It only takes seconds to look up company, & website details, and I'm finding most of the info a bit of a concern.
When I looked into one website, there's no registered company, and the contact tel.no used for registering the domain, lead to someone in Arizona, with the tel.no listed as a know scammer.
Companies/domains have at been registered for about 12 months at best, with most under 6 months. In some cases, there is only a website registered, but no company exists at Companies House. And where there is a registered company, the directors have no other companies listed, so zero track record, never having filed accounts in their lives. One is "trading as", and the parent company doesn't appear to exist either.
I'm sure some of these new companies will be legitimate, but I'd suggest using due diligence, and if unsure make you pay by credit card, or buy from well known established companies.
