Wanted: new to stalking looking to learn the ropes

Hi I am new to stalking I am going to do my DSC1 in October but in the mean time I would like to get some extra experience before hand ie
to follow some one on a stalk to basically learn the ropes. I am 22 and willing to do the grunt work like carrying equipment. I have my own rifle ( .243 ) I need it but it would be great just to be there and to be given the chance to learn.
I live in the northeast but will be willing to travel.
