A couple of weeks ago I went to a local Estuary to, hopefully, catch or forage a feed. I turned up at the bottom of a spring tide, and was able to collect some Scallops. You cannot beat them fresh, so I had them on the foreshore, cooked simply over a small fire…..They were stunningly flavoursome!
Also caught this beauty, and don’t Gilts taste good, over a fire of course.
The week before, while fishing off a beach for Smooth Hounds, dragged this fella in! Cooked in a pot……Over a fire.
How lucky to live in a country so stunning, that provides as good sea food as anywhere. Love it
