Have a look for a second hand Pulsar N550 with a doubler. You can pick them up for @ £500. Add a decent IR to it and you'll do foxes to a good distance and certainly spot them at well over 250 yards. I spotted one a while ago at around 400 yards, called it in and shot it at 190.

Value for money a Deben/dedal/dipol 141 M is agen 1 + unit Russian made & superb for around £325/395 depending on condition,& lightest on the market (fox 90/100yds-rabbits 45/55yds) add extra I.R & add 75 + yards to rabbit recognition, & fox add 100yds + . If money is no object a pular N750..as for the the new Yukon ''add on '' photon, give a miss..you get what you pay for.

I have a Yukon photon on my .22 rim fire and it is the perfect setup for the .22 out last night first test for 10 minutes and shot seven rabbits. Also just bought a Pvs-14 and that is outstanding, far superior to the grade c archer I looked through!

I don't know where you get your information? If money is no object then theres a mass of gen3 kit that will cost you £5-7,000. Digital then the Drone is the new daddy and since when was the Photon an add on? It's a dedicated and worth every penny of it's £400 price tag

Gen1, redundant now, were making digital add on's with illumination that will just about make 300 yards for £150 over on nightvisionforumuk
