Nikko stirling gold crown 4 x 40 angle scope

Hi Guys

Any help? Brother has this scope on air rifle, having trouble adjusting vertical cross hair, shooting 2 inch high with tight grouping. Any idea why it does not seem to adjust down at all, threads work fine and scope in excellent condition.

Some air rifles have barrels that are not level with the air chamber if a break barrel rifle and that causes problems with scopes. The HW35 was one that i recall was like this.

The other thing is that modern Niskko Sterling scopes are not a patch on the older Japanese made ones. The new ones are of Chinese manufacture and often have all sorts of faults as I found out to my cost.
