Non Lead Ammo?

Hi, Probably been done else where, Is Lead Free Ammo MANDATORY in ALL of Germany? for (wild boar). I have a chance of a trip but what ammo should I take out.Before some smart bottom say's ask the outfitter, it is not that straight forward.But I would like to go prepared.

Forstamt land (government forestry areas) have had lead bans in place for a few years now but otherwise than these it seems to be up to the local landowners.

With regret I fear that it's coming to the United Kingdom 100%...at some future time...not just to Forestry Commission land...it's irrelevant to that...but everywhere.

So I've future proofed what little stalking I'll now continue to do by selling my 6mm Remington and having nothing of lesser calibre than .270"; 7mm or .30" calibre (for me that's .30-06). As as far as I know there is no 100 grain non lead expanding bulleted ammunition (or indeed bullets for reloaders) that will stabilise in most old school .243 Winchester or 6mm Remington rifles.

I don't know what the effect might be on .222 Remington or .223 Remington...are there none lead expanding bullets and/or ammunition in these calibres?

Yes, talk to Ed Bewsher who imports Fox and also the very very cool Tarvas.
fox basically works like a non-lead swift a-frame mushroom and weight retention wise. Tarvas is more like the north fork CPS. The Fox is very accurate and amazing value for money, cheaper than most premium lead bullets...he can either sell you bullets or loaded ammo.

Try RWS catalogue 30.06 3 choices 136g and 150g. 136g Evo green are good on deer.

The last 100 rds of Norma EVO 150 gr cost £270
Availabilty of non lead ammunition seems to have improved but I’d recommend changing to .308 to ensure you can get it

Thank you for that. I have looked on several web sites, Edinburgh Rifles to name one,and they have 30.06 and in 150 grn.
