Nordik Pro Roe Call

Arrived very quickly. It’s more duck like than on the video atm but hopefully that will change as I get used to it

Having mucked around with mine for a while, it's definately more practical than a Buttolo Baltter as it takes up less space (fits nicely in bino harness side pocket :thumb: ) and does not make a noise when you don't want it too.

Anyone who has used a duck or goose call should find these easy to use. Hopefully they last long. A little bit of finesse required when releasing the plastic above the reed to give a good shriek that carries far.

Hoping to give it a good run later this month, will report back then! :tiphat:

So let’s provide feedback to the manufacturer in the area/s of disappointment please. They are good guys and may well respond positively to the needs and/or challenges of the UK roe buck hunter.

I would not like to see the SD massive boycott their products!

If its hands free you want why not get a cherry wood call. I find they work well and I get more reactions from muntjac than I did with a buttolo

Only used the non pro version, fantastic caller. Don't be afraid to call to much, the more the better and the bucks come in really nice. I noticed that when you stop to call the losing the interest.

Look at videos from the Swedish hunter Mikael Tham or P-A Åhlen.

Well I’ve still to try the “pro” version but can confirm the original Nordik Roe works very well. Called a buck this morning that was moving away from me (not spooked). First blast stopped him at about 150 yards. The second call saw him coming straight at me even though the wind was in his favour. At no more than 5-yards from the tree I was behind it was if the urge to mate and belief I was a doe was so strong his brain refused to compute that my scent was not that of a lady roe.

I watched him for a good 15 minutes, throughout which he could clearly see and smell I wasn’t a roe, and at no point was he more than 20 yards from me.
