I use the same head in a 30-06 doing 3270fps and they are lightning bolts on scottish reds and sika.

(Why am I always the Johnny RainCloud here??) How many times will it put two shots into a hole like that? Or was it just the once? You do know that statistically speaking, those two shots were a non event, right? It'd be a shame to hang your hat on a load that in reality gives 3.5 MOA but just happened to toss a couple at the same spot one time.~Muir

I had a great load for nosler partitions. Shot two groups about an inch or so and thought I was good to go. After shooting a few more groups, just to be sure, it became clear the two groups were luck and the average group size was about 5 inches.

A lot of what we do and know when reloading has no statistical significance.

+1 Two shots aint a group its a coincidence.....Shoot us a nice 5 or 10 shot group and let us know how you get on.

fair enough but don't boast on here about your accurate load without 5 shot groups for evidence , there is some knowledgeble people on here and i'm afraid i'm in there camp and would like to see more than two shots?

Hi, sorry to put a damper on things but measuring to the tip of the bullet is a really poor way of loading! Always use a comparator body with the relevant calibre insert. Your bullet heads will be VERY different lengths if you measure them bare and anyone thinking of using this form of measurement with soft points (and lots do) will be pi**ing in the wind, and I know you are using BT's but they still vary by a mile. Oh and I am sorry but I really do have to agree with the others, a 2 shot group! are you serious? Any group should be a minimum of 4 shots to be considered.
