We are proud to announce that NRL Hunter is coming to the UK!

The United Kingdom has a long tradition of hunting sports. From deer stalkers to pest controllers, game keepers and everyone in-between, all hunters share a desire to be the most successful and proficient marksman and ethical hunter they can be.

With the introduction of NRL Hunter UK, you now have the opportunity to test and develop the skills necessary for ethical hunting at a steel target shooting competition like no other. It is our mission to bring you every ethical edge. Challenge yourself to be the best hunter you can be!

NRL Hunter UK will provide eight matches in 2025, complimented by training days. Very soon we will launch a dedicated website for the UK. Follow @nrlhunter_uk to keep up to date with information about our website, match calendar and how to join our international community as an NRL Hunter Member!

Our first match will be a rimfire match on 1/2 Feb 2025 just outside of Hull, followed by our first centrefire match at Gardners Guns in Scotland on 1st March.

I’m sure people have questions so please fire away. Our aim is to make it as affordable and accessible aspossible with confirmed venues all over the UK.

The booking system should go live any day now at which point prices will be confirmed.

Google hunting and you get different description that is far more accepted by the general population of Britain.

We have a number of ranges which have already agreed to host centrefire and/or rimfire matches, we are also speaking with more.

Our aim is to make this as affordable and accessible as possible, so having a match that anyone in the UK can get to in reasonable time is a key ambition of ours and one which we are confident we can deliver on.

More venues will be announced over the next few weeks, hopefully with dates as well, as we deconflict with existing competitions and events.

This is really exciting. Dedicated Website, a meaningful membership, social media , filming etc. It appears you are going to have a committed, concerted and coherent effort to bring it to the UK and that is a wonderful prospect for all of us sporting types this side of the pond. Whether that’s a couple of times a year for some to see what they can achieve or a full season for others, in 22LR and centrefire. What an exciting way to end 2024! Bravo

It looks interesting however from the video they’re still using tripods, rest bags, detachable magazines, high magnification tactical scopes, will this be a more UK based hunting approach?

We are trialing .22LR rimfire this year as it doesn’t currently exist as an extension of NRL Hunter in the USA.

As part of that we are collating all the feedback around how it could evolve going forwards, especially great points like this. You are right .17HMR is a great round.

For now we are just running .22LR but who knows what the future holds!
