Want to see what NRL Hunter is all about?

On Sunday 19 October at Pro Shoot in Wales we will be hosting a come and have a go event. Using stages from the previous day’s grand slam match, you can experience what it is like to shoot stages at an NRL Hunter match and receive some advice and support along the way.

This is a great way to dip your toe in and prepare for an actual match. To join in you’ll need to first sign up for membership (if not already a member), which is still free for the remainder of 2025. The day of shooting will then cost only £40 (reduced from £50).

First place Open Light and our Overall NRL Hunter UK Rimfire Champion of 2025, Adam Roberts!

On Saturday 18 October at Pro Shoot in Wales, Adam dropped only 16 points of a possible 96 across 12 stages to become our first UK champion at the 2025 Rimfire Grand Slam. It was an impressive victory, shooting our most challenging course of fire to-date in winds gusting up towards 30mph.

It was a close match but Adam stuck with it and was delighted with his win, especially as it meant he could take first pick from the prize table where he already had his eye on a very special NRL Hunter Limited Edition Field Skalpel skinning knife from our Community Partner, York Knife.

Mike Underwood became our first NRL Hunter UK Factory Division Champion at the Rimfire Grand Slam at Pro Shoot on Saturday, adding to his 2023 IPRF World Champion award from the Precision Rifle World Championships.

Hot off the heels of last weekends match! We are delighted to announce our first training event of 2026!

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026, NRL Hunter UK will be hosting our Train for the Hunt Foundation development course.

Your course instructor will be Professional Sporting Solutions founder Bradley Bourner. Brad is passionate about helping others to quickly and efficiently improve their marksmanship and hunting skills and is highly regarding in the UK as a professional deer manager, marksman, competition shooter and teacher.

Brad started his shooting career on the estates of Scotland and became a Wildlife Ranger, during which time he graduated in Gamekeeping and Wildlife Management. He then joined the Royal Marine Commandos, becoming a proficient sniper and fuelling his personal interest in extreme accuracy.

It was a combination of these skills and experiences that led Brad to start his own business, offering professional deer management and firearms and hunting instruction to enthusiasts and professionals alike.

We can think of nobody better placed in the UK to provide firearms and hunting tuition to our NRL Hunter members and bring this two day Foundation course to you for £500. To maximise your learning this will be an intimate training course with limited places.

"Hi Will,​

After careful consideration of the current weather and travel conditions across the North of England and elsewhere, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the NRL Hunter event at Eskdalemuir on Saturday 22nd November.

The ongoing treacherous driving conditions in the North East pose a threat to both the organisers and fellow shooters travelling to the event, and weather and travel conditions elsewhere in the UK pose danger to those travelling from further afield.

For context we need to be on the range 24hrs before the match, setting up with our kit and steels and at the moment we are not confident we do so safely.

The high risk of a low turn out to the event would also lead to the event being cancelled at much shorter notice, neared to the time, which would cause significant inconvenience to those who have risked travelling.

After lengthy discussions with the range operator, it is in the best interests and safety for all involved in the event that we make the decision now to postpone until the New Year. A full refund can be issued or your fee carried over to the re-arranged match.

We are in active discussion with the venue as to when that match will be and the new date will be advertised soon.
