NRL22 scope advice

Hi guys, I would really appreciate some quick advice on purchasing a scope for NRL 22. I will likely go for an Arkin SH4 however it is available in two different base magnifications as the targets appear to be from a minimum of 17 meters. I am worried that the 6-24 will be Too powerful and make spotting misses difficult even on the lowest setting.

I am leaning towards to 4-16 instead


Would really appreciate a quick recommendation as I would like to place the order today to have it for this weekend

Most guys run 5-25x56 scopes or 6-24. On the main meets you see a mix of Arken, Vortex Venom or Razor, kales and ZCO.

GBPRA did do a survey of the PR22 gear a while back give you a good idea. Think it was linked on their facebook

For what it’s worth, I run two zco scopes (obviously not at the same time). I’ve gone from the 5-27 to the 8-40.

I ran the 5-27 at around 14-15 mag and run the 8-40 at around 18-19 mag as it has a bigger field of view than the 527.

I think the best sub £1000 scope out there is the Bushnell match pro ed, moving down from that, I ran the athlon midas tac 5-25 for a couple of years before moving to zco

If anyone is interested I have a BNIB Bushnell Match Pro ED arriving as a warranty replacement for a high end, but discontinued, stalking scope. I would be happy to sell it straight on, unopened or opened, with full registration of lifetime warranty etc. DM me if interested.

Hi guys just wanted to say a massive thank you for the advice

I ended up taking the Arken ep5 of my center fire for the competition

Really enjoyed it, target where from between 17 to 173 meters and got on great with the 5-25x56

Will likely bolt on an sh4 4-24x50 if I get a deal on Black Friday
