A very rare Swedish Navy Model 1863 single action 12mm pinfire service revolver by Eugene Le Faucheaux of Paris.
Plain 6 3/16" round barrel signed E LEFAUCHEUX Brevette Paris. The revolver having been supplied 'in the white' has now developed over the past 150+ years into a pleasant grey/brown patina throughout the frame, barrel and cylinder. Two piece hardwood grip and lanyard ring.
The right side of the frame shows the Lefaucheaux LF trademark prefixing the serial number 79877 and a 'cross in circle' Swedish Navy 'sold out of service' mark. The left side of the frame is marked with the 2 line Lefaucheaux cartouch.
The three coat of arms of the Kingdom of Sweden crowns (tre kronor) stamped on the right side of the octagonal part of the barrel where it meets the frame clearly indicating that this is one of the 2000 Swedish Military purchase revolvers falling within the range 78000 to 80500.
£900 collected from Kent (near Maidstone) or can be posted at cost.
