Ode to a Blaser!

My Blaser is so quick and slick
But people still must take the mick
It shoots so very straight
But still causes much hate
It's so balanced and compact
But the jealous still won't face the fact
Blasers are the best!!

My Blaser is so well made
It puts other rifles in the shade
It's deadly and dependable every time
Let people sneer, that's just fine
I'm not in the least bit bitter
Because most other rifles are just shitter!!
Blasers are the best!!

Many say that they cost too much money
Which I find really quite funny
How can you put a price on perfection?
Blasers give me a serious erection..
I will never ever part with mine
It will be with me until the end of time...
Blasers are the best!!

So bitch and sneer all you like
The detractors can just take a hike
Blaser owners know what's best
And they realise that it is all in jest
But in-spite of the all the stick
Blaser owners don't miss a trick
Because they know that.... Blasers are the best!!

I'm sorry if this causes anything other than amusement because that is certainly all that is intended.... Happy stalking!

You're thinking of Rudyard Kipling who did know something about shooting. Blasers may be accurate, but how can you address an ode to something that looks like a bilge-pump?

I often think of Blasers and their rapid second shot
And the ability to take several game whilst it is on the trot
It's all very appealing but then I realise
That I just need one well placed shot, I just ain't a Blaser guy

For when I think of nice rifles I turn to falling blocks
or maybe a nice Kipplauf with a round to powder rocks
You can keep your high intensity, I just want sectional density
I need one shot not two or three, so keep your posh publicity
I guess it's now quite clear to see, that Blasers are quite simply;
not for me

Sung to to a country thrum ;)

Wanna buy a Blaser? ;)
When I see a deal I will often buy things to re-sell. but I have to feel confortable with passing the item along. In the case of a balser, I just could not do it, I would feel like I had cheated someone.

Awww, c'mon, I bet even you couldn't resist one if it was in .243 flavour!

Marcbo really don't like .243 Win or Blaser's. A nice 1903 sporter or classy Mauser is more his thing. Mine too to be honest but to each his own.

With the necessary apologies to Sauerkraut and especially to Thomas Haugland of THLR whose videos are most informative and appreciated.

There has been a lot of b*ll*cks written on the forum
Of a certain German rifle with, to some, the looks of Gollum
Its critics slate the product and chastise all those who dare
who look to try the product on vermin, game or bear

Its aesthetics divide opinion, it's price leaves some aghast
but as a tool with form and function you could argue its unsurpassed
Light with joyful handling comes in several different guise
whether calibre requirements or be more pleasing on the eye

Take a gander on YouTube there is some fine advice around
Look especially for THLR and his northern hunting grounds
Note the rifle used when stalking, with some skill and ability
If a Blaser is good enough for Roe then it's good enough for me

don't get hung up on which product is the only one, the best
try as many as you can, to find the one that appeals to you, then invest
and then invest in knowledge and with practise increase skill
To try and emulate Thomas and strive for the perfect one shot kill

Like cars we have our favourites and others we but deride
different things give us pleasure and are our source of pride
So choose your own bloody rifle by listening to your head and heart
And take advice with a pinch of salt when proffered by some old fart!

Hey, if your rifle makes you sing, that's what counts - not that you are not Shakespeare or Placido Domingo.
