Anybody KNOW the procedure in Scotland. I am trading in my old 270 and buying a new 270. Last time I went to Pitt Street in Glasgow but I think that was pre police Scotland

Scotland should be no different to the rest of mainland U.K.
1. Dispose of your present .270.
2. Inform of disposal and submit the online variation form.
3. Collect new rifle when varied FAC is returned not forgetting to inform of new acquisition.

that is correct, for a 1 4 1 you have to show you have disposed of the old one first or else it will be the normal £20 variation fee or free on cert renewal
