I have a 455 and I love it. It seems to like winnies.
I put rimfire magic trigger kit on it and had the bolt polished

I love it

Good accurate rifle. The only thing I don’t like is the safety which seems to be backwards to me but you get use to it

got a 455 synthetic, trigger spring changed and sear polished, find the right ammo, as said very accurate.

I’ve got the 455 Varmint cut to 16”, suppressed and in a Boyds laminate stock, pillar and epoxy bedded. I polished the trigger myself, perfect light and crisp break. Only shoot CCI Standard Velocity.

It’s a daily shooter around the house block. I control rabbits, hares, magpies, possums and the occasional cat. Wouldn’t swap it for anything else .22LR.

Great rifles, the safety is a bit odd to start with. Some bits are best improved on with aftermarket options which make living with it easier. I’d recommend:

improved trigger spring. Loads to chose from on the www. I think mines a YoYo Dave. £12 ish from memory.

&

Extended Mag release catch: makes operation easier whilst wearing gloves.

You can tinker away with more bits of you like, but those are the easiest/cheapest swaps in my opinion.

and I have the exact opposite 455 in .17 hmr and 452 in .22LR

Great kit - I'm a real fan

Robust, cheap and 1" moa even out to 130m with .22LR

If only all life were so straight forward ...

Hows the 455 trigger? Going a few years back now but I put an Eric brooks trigger kit on mine and it transformed the rifle

Cheap to buy and modify. Gehmann adjustable butt plate assembly, home made rear extended rail, CZ trigger kit that goes down to 1.5lb, extended magazine release, chopped down barrel to 12inches and threaded plus muzzle brake.
Found it a bit nose heavy in standard form.
Original cost of bare rifle was £360 new so don't pay a lot for them. Shot count now around 12000 and never been cleaned.

Recently bought that lot in the picture for £175 in mint condition,so as said don’t pay a lot for one, there’s plenty about.
Only used the ammo it came with but it’s very accurate with the ELEY Subs.
It’s had a trigger kit fitted, but it’s still nowhere near as crisp as my Tikka HMR
Great little rifles for second hand money.
