Seasonal Affective Disorder????

A cracking haul there.Out on the rabbits again last night. Much better night as very dark and a bit breeze.
Wasn't long before my game bag was full and had to go back to the motor to offload which I ended up doing 3 times. Hard work when you are on your own and on a remote hillside.
Anyway I struggled on until I ran out of energy , 36 rabbits 10 hares 1 rat
3 black ones tonight...

Well I went, not a living thing in sight but just as I was getting back into the Jimny I got a nice flypast!I know that feeling!
And it can (If not careful) get worse, like whether to make the effort to get out of bed even!!!
Ken.

I assume that at some point in the past a black pet rabbit has bred with the local wild ones?Out on the rabbits again last night. Much better night as very dark and a bit breeze.

More like Malt Affected Disorder!Seasonal Affective Disorder????![]()
I believe in some areas black rabbits were introduced by local keepers to see how myxamatosis was progressing and to get a rough idea of survival numbers. We used to see a few groups in Galloway over the years so I assumed that a number had thrived and continued to pass on the black gene. I've also seen a number of wild/dutch hybrids so obviously someone has got fed up with their pets and released them....I assume that at some point in the past a black pet rabbit has bred with the local wild ones?
Many, many years ago when I was living in N Wales, I would sometimes be working on Anglesey and in the early mornings would drive past a particular field and see perhaps a dozen or more black rabbits.
Nothing to do with rabbits bu this post reminded me about something we thought unusual in Wales near Aberdaron.I assume that at some point in the past a black pet rabbit has bred with the local wild ones?

No idea , elaborateGinger, how do tell if a rabbit is a poofta?
Out rabbit shooting again last night but on a different farm. On arrival the half moon came out and made the place like daylight together with a gusting wind made it tricky.
Started off slow but as the night progressed the moon became hidden and the wind dropped a bit and I started getting into a few.
Shot another black one too.
