Cleared the two new incomers, one for me, & one for the "official" Curlew guy, He's back this morning to locate his, I watched it pick itself up & charge for the forest edge, definite a dead'un but it was not admitting it.

Indeed - I have 3 of them and despite a thermal spotter and Zulus I won’t part with them!

Just five rabbits tonight. I've been asked to shift some but I dislike shooting rabbits at this time of year more than fox considering how few there are nowadays.
Any way these are off to market.
Nearly had a shot at a fox too but I didn't like the angle for hmr so I let it slip away.

Lovely old job SD. Old school night vision in use as well on the HMR... can't go wrong with simple stuff... that's what I tell myself every time I look at the missus
I've been out tonight, we have another fox taking some of the leftover hen birds that are trying to nest. I had a brief encounter, but maybe crawling about in the Gator was not the best tactic on a still bright night. Always tomorrow, gotta make the most of this hunting/shooting/fishing game while we are able

Picking up a,mate from the airport in the early morning so thought I'd have a few hrs looking for foxy. Currently sitting here watching over a field of mist from a warm day and a cold evening...can't see sod all with the nv!

schoolboy error and should've known!I was out during the week, plenty of rabbits about, on arrival at a small field I had been asked to shoot, I watched half a dozen plus in one little area, however I blanked.
Went out to early at 9pm plus a decent moon, some bird, owl? in the trees as i approached sounded the alarm, they went from happily feeding to heads up ears up and must have spotted me approaching as by the time i got to a safe shooting position they had all bolted.
I'm must be getting too old as no longer keen to be out very late and virtually all night
but lookout rabbits I will be back.

I had one of those annoying disappearing foxes last night. Came in perfect to call, shot felt good, sounded good & looks good on replay, but I just couldn't find dead fox in the long grass. I'll try put the video up 
.
Typically I'm off all weekend for first time since October so can't look for it until Monday, hopefully find it in daylight.

Was out well before dark last night, pulled in the fields where the sheep have been lambing , parked up and walked about 50 yards down towards a good vantage point, ol foxy was coming up the opposite hedge, so bit of a rush as it took me by surprise tbh, quick check with the habrocks 165 mtrs to the gateway he was now stood in, dropped him off the sticks, for some reason the alpex didn't auto record the shot, anyway waited about for an hour or so until the light was going and caught this ol boy , must of come across the road from behind me, caught the shot on video but can't get it to upload for some reason
