Out last night.

I tried to intercept the fox that my dog thought it was a good idea to chase a few weeks ago. I have an idea of it's location now and it's early run but I got there just to late only to observe it leaving for a distant location.
I hung around but it didn't return despite calling.
It's possibly a Bob tail!
So until next time....

#6 & #7

Back out early last night fully equipped clothing wise! To make the most of this scaffold before it’s removed.
#6 Big dog happy to remove this one at quarter past seven, 113m chest shot and not a twitch.
#7 little vixen this years most probably, In fine condition. 120m quartering away, again chest shot selected as the “oh hey” brought her to a stand still and again down with out a twitch.
Really impressed with these sako rounds.
Back in just after eleven before the rain set in.

Headed back out at home last night and was partially thwarted by 1) neighbours finishing pulling up the fence (ok it was dark but maybe 8 ish), then 2) the rain came in earlier then expected. I decided to take shelter under a small wooden shed we have and saw a fox crossing our neighbours field 300 or so yards away. Despite hand calling and using the electronic caller..no interest. Decided to call it a night and one last check and there was a fox about 70 yards the top side of the house on the bank. Quick adjust of position and a hand squeak and she helpfully sat down to try and figure out what was going on.

120 grain Sako Blade from the creed put an end to proceedings. She was about 90 yards away so not exactly challenging. No 42

Lovely looking rifle mate
Cheers. My oversized baby :) Not my normal foxing rifle as this is my deer rifle but I havent had time to do anything with scopes after deer stalking last week so thought it would do for the foxes. Its a Mike Norris custom. Zermat Origin action, MDT Timber Frontier stock with some other fancy bits I cant remember . If I do my job not much escapes 👍
