I felt his "So she says" comment was condemned without due consideration. An investigation needs to be impartial. People do give false accounts to the police. He was right to point that out, if nothing else.

I agree, it was his more his loud announcements of his sexual conquests to his colleagues I had in mind.

His ‘so she says’ comment was perfectly fine IMO
