Pard NV008 external IR setup

I know there are loads of threads about the 008, but I have not seen that many with pics showing how people attach the external IR's, I have recently bought a night blaster (second hand off here) and just having a play around tonight, and it seem attaching with a normal QR mount is not the answer, as the beam does not match where the scope is looking, and the thumb screw binds on the pard's body,

Open to the floor with ideas, and hopefully some pics.

Thanks in advance

I just use a 3 quid scope ring and shim the torch with thin bits of milk bottle or the like.
Rock solid and keeps it nice and close to the Pard less prone to being knocked.

Is the pards IR not pretty good anyway? I can see 150-175 yards with mine…is the Pard 008 LRF a different torch?
Yes, nothing wrong with the built in but if you add an external laser you get more legs, you can see and identify quarry more than double that.

Thanks guys, I was looking at one of the adjustable mounts but not sure on how far it would stand off, and what the chances of knocking it were when wandering about in the dark.

It is sat in a standard mount at the moment @Pellet Pinger , I was thinking I would have a bit of a play before splashing out on a different mount.

@gixer1 I have no issues with the range on the IR like you say up to 200 not a problem, but this one came up at price I liked and I thought I would give it a shot, normal price from blackwoods is about £50, the main reason I wanted to try it was to give the battery in the pard a bit more life not having to power the lamp as well, the extra ID range is just a bonus

Have a search on evilbay, expect to pay about 30 quid uk shop or about 20 if u wait from China.

For reference, I ended up using a 45deg stand off mount as I had enough length on my weaver in front of the pard and on to that I just use a normal mount, I found that by turning the torch in the mount I could get the beam to line up with the pard, it is just luck that the tolerances these torches are made to are that far off center that I was probably getting 3m of movement at 100m, I am clamping the torch on the lense housing not the body so it does not move the point of aim when I twist the body to focus the beam.
