Parker Hale Mount Codes Reference List

I've recently bought a BSA Monarch (1st Pattern) with the integral 19mm rails. It's currently fitted with a 26mm Pecar in Parker Hale mounts. I'd like to mount a 56mm 1" scope on it if possible, but need higher mounts. So that I can start the search for alternative mounts, has anyone seen a list of all the different Parker Hale mounts and what they were manufactured for? I'm getting baffled by all the RAN4, RANS5, RANS2, RAH3 etc. codes and need some sort of list or catalogue.

Many thanks, and also to Brit who's sent me some information. It seems I have a 1" scope with a mix of 26mm and 30mm mount parts so some rework is called for. The next time I see a Parker-Hale catalogue I'll have a good look.

Ahhh bewsher, Like you I had thought or read somewhere the "A" stood for alloy yet on checking the "A" actually refers tot eh dovetail size of 19.5mm. So:-

R = Roll Off
A= 19.5mm dovetail
H= High
3= 1" tube size
S= Recoil stud

Now RBLS.4 would be:-

R= Roll off
B= 17mm dovetail
L= Low
S= Recoil stud
4= 26mm

I have yet to find a P-H publication with the "5" listed in them though............................. but we know they exist of course.

Interestingly if he title is say "ARAHS.3 the the ring has windage adjustment built in. The "N" it seems is normal height. L= .22". N- .33" and H= .44" height under the scope tube. This was taken from the 57 Edition catalogue. There is also an "X" which means extra long recoil stud.

As mentioned I have three copies on the No 68 catalogue so will happily let one go.

​Yes early ones were steel. I have a set fitted to a Tel Stg No53 that P-H used to fit up for Rimfires.
