I was just asking myself the same question, and wondering if I could justify "good reason" for a 2nd 243How has this rifle not sold
That thought had crossed my mind tooI was just asking myself the same question, and wondering if I could justify "good reason" for a 2nd 243
Go get it you know you want it.I was just asking myself the same question, and wondering if I could justify "good reason" for a 2nd 243
Yes, still available, drop me a message. You are welcome to come and take a look. This still available? I'm in Truro so nearby
Because every kid coming into the sport have access to credit and are spoilt with being able to buy whatever new and modern thing they want and have been convinced they need in order to shoot deer. These days few people appreciate how bloody hard money is to come by.Why oh why are Parker Hale rifles so unappreciated and undervalued. You could not wish for a better first stalking rifle. Funnily enough I am contemplating selling my 2 rifles after selling the deer farm. I took the Remington 700 VSSF in for a valuation and was amazed how little it was valued at, certainly won't sell it at that price. My Parker Hale .308 he said had no value at all. That is not true of course it just means it may have no value to a dealer.
Love to see the pics of the m81!Because every kid coming into the sport have access to credit and are spoilt with being able to buy whatever new and modern thing they want and have been convinced they need in order to shoot deer. These days few people appreciate how bloody hard money is to come by.
But matter of fact - most PH rifles unless M81 or M82 will be almost impossible to sell for more than £100, and even that might take some time unless it’s a 7x57. I’ve had PH’s literally given to me, and I have given many away as well. There are a LOT of PH rifles on guntrader etc and in shops I know, that have been there for well over 10 years.
Best thing you can do with a PH you are looking to move on, is to keep it or rebarrel it to something new (or the same), but ask yourself ‘why ARE you wanting to move it on?’
What’s the value of a late ‘90s Nokia phone, £0, do they do the job still, yes, is there a market for them, no. Why, they’re not in fashion and never will be again.
That said, I’m picking up a PH M81 shortly and cannot wait!!!!!
How fascinating
Don't worry, I can assure you that your old Parker-Hale .270 is not in the least bit unappreciated (except perhaps by my neighbours ).Why oh why are Parker Hale rifles so unappreciated and undervalued. You could not wish for a better first stalking rifle. Funnily enough I am contemplating selling my 2 rifles after selling the deer farm. Yes it would!Would it be classed as sacrilege to have this screw cut? Looking to put in variation for 243 for Roe, but location of ground really needs a moderated rifle.
Will keep you in mind if it ever comes to fruition.Yes it would!
(But if you do, could I have the chopped off barrel end complete with foresight, please?)
I know, that's why I asked. If I had ground where I could get away with Non moderated I would leave as Original, but likely to upset too many with moderator, let alone withoutChronic that this hasn’t sold
Even as a cheapo for someone who isn’t a classic rifle buff just to bash about / chop the end off etc its a great rifle for next to free
