Evening all. I hope all are well? Has anyone on here got any real world experience of these bullets/projectiles/heads whatever they are called today? Thinking of giving them a try in .30.06 and the gaymoor.
Any experiences on animals really is what I’m after!!!
Many thanks in advance

regards Steve

My test load groups with the 118gr vlr4 in a 6.5 creedmoor were all under 1 Moa (all same coal and only charge weight changes) with the best being the right hand group. Just need a buck now...

Thanks mate for that. As I understand it they create close ragged groups. Just experience on animals now
Thanks regards Steve

I’ve started playing with the 136gr VLR4 in 308. The initial groups are awful, but the numbers are impressive. 3.1 SD with an ES of 6 on one test load for 2990 in 18” barrel.

just need to play with seating depth to hopefully get some useable groups 🤞

For all the talk of Peregrine on this forum going back a few years now, there is a huge gaping hole when it comes to demonstrable evidence of their effectiveness on your various deer species, at various ranges, in various calibres. Bugger all really.

I may be hopelessly wrong here, but if I use google to search for images posted on this forum relating to “peregrine”, all I get is pictures of targets, boxes of bullets, and raptors.

Who has actually got photos of dead deer shot with Peregrine bullets? (Not buffalo, or plains game)

Absolutely spot on! That goes for every non-toxic bullet really though. Not just big deer either either. Munties, roe and CWD photos too. Field sports Britain have yet to show a deer shot with non-toxic that wasn't blown up. Often they don't even put the camera on munties! It's a worry. People keep saying that they're as good, if not better, however my evidence says otherwise!

I have personally shot around 65 deer with the 136gr in 308.
Not including foxes, geese and various other items.
Range from 25yds to 285yds (crow at 525yds was the highlight of my shooting career!)
Predominantly Sika, Roe with some Red.

Terminal effect has been very good.
I have had one fail to exit on a quartering double shoulder shot.
Deer still died and only made it 20-30yds

Shots are predominantly high shoulder due to thick vegetation/forest.
Plenty of standard heart lung shots.
Several head and neck.
Have yet to see one pencil through even in H&L on smaller animals at range.

Now I can take confidence from this size of data set but I want more.
We have collated a wide range of carcase shots from customers including those using the new 100gr .243 in the field.

Means little coming from the guy who imports and produces them, but I imported them once they had proven themselves on UK game in smaller cartridges.
Not the other way round.

Over the last 6 years I have sampled and tested over 25 brands and designs.
I rejected many on the strength of the results or pricing/availability.

Fox and Peregrine have been around so long now and used on so many UK species we have the conference to say the work better than the vast majority of brands in similar applications.

I will get some pictures up

Entry and exit is usually very neat as above

I am shooting them here on purpose in case the keyboard best practice loons get excited.
If you have ever had to wade through restock or crawl under black out sitka to recover a carcase then you understand why.
Very little carcase is lost, and more importantly no animals are lost!

Good stuff.

Would be good to tag these photos with Peregrine, so they come up in a search. Else they get buried and impossible to find.
