Picatinny mounts.

I need some pic 30mm mounts but for the life in me I can’t decide what is any good. I don’t want cheap crap but don’t want to spend £300. They seem to jump from £25 to 250 with very little in between. Any recommendations

Tier one £100 posted used, medium or low would need to check.

A set of Nightforce 30mm low rings, a couple of cosmetic marks £85 posted.

Both are very good rings more than capable for stalking and target shooting.

Have some QD contessa 30mm mounts.
£490 RRP 😂 what’s your budget, have two pairs as new. Could come to a deal on a set as don’t need two

Sportsmatch quick release,

£180 from uttings. I’m sorry but I still associate sports match with cheap airgun mounts. It’s a hard association to move on from.

The OP is quite right there is a huge disparity in prices now days with costs spiralling since Covid. Which is ridiculous but it’s happened.

Find something secondhand if you can, quality doesn’t degrade with a mount or ring. All the the rings and mounts now days are good quality and you will fail to go wrong. Even the hawke rings with keep your scope zeroed.

I am in the same predicament, want decent quality but don’t have a limitless budget. Ended up with two in my sights, rusan 30mm picatinny (at about £75) or leopold 30mm qr. Went for the leopold at £100 plus £5 delivery.

I bet there are loads of quality mounts kicking around in draws and cupboards out there!!

Would have bought second hand if there were any about!

I use Spuhr mounts for everything. Awesome quality. Not cheap but definitely not unnecessarily expensive depending on model.

I have the ISMS on heavier setups which are expensive and over your budget but absolutely top notch. Many used good deals to be had though.

If you require one for a hunting rifle, the ‘hunting series’ mounts are much cheaper but still brilliant quality, and they make them in individual rings or a one piece mount.

Spuhr hunting series or Tier 1 for me. I also use the Spuhr ISMS one-piece mounts on my AI rifles. None have ever let me down nor ever needed adjustment once properly mounted.

Weren't Sportsmatch the mount of choice for AI for ages?
Apparently not. Well not according to the lady at Accuracy International when I mentioned it at the shooting show some years ago who said that it was a commonly held misbelief.

Just ordered some Britannia 34mm.

I must admit, shy of that I don’t find turning a hex key a few times overly onerous so I wouldn’t pay a huge amount for the privilege of QR.

Spuhr for me. Have some Tier One. They are good but had some issues and no response from Tier One.

Out of interest do all nightforce rings come with a cross bolt instead of screws or quick release levers.
