Wanted: Pickup - Early models (2005 ish area)

Hi, I'm on the look out for a cheap and cheerful (doesn't have to be pretty) but mechanically and structurally sound L200 - Only really looking to put the hammer down on something around the Max £3000 mark. We are literally only going to be driving it for going deer stalking and shooting trips in. Getting to the point our daily runners are getting a beating with men getting in and out of and general abuse of the rough country tracks/fields which we want to step away from.

Is there anything in particular we should be watching out for?

The price is going to only allow us to look at around about a 2005/06 age wagon unless something randomly special appears which is very unusual.

Given the age is there anything which we should be wary of? What are the known issues?

Also if anyone has anything worth looking at send it on as we are open to getting the right machine even if it comes from england (N.Ireland based)

If you go on the l200 owners club, the common faults are listed and the remedies

At that age ur really last off the square cabs, heads were very soft so not so much he gasket going but whole head, at that age not be worth fixing by time get head checked and most likely a new head..
And little room in the back for adults with those square cabs

Got 1 sitting in my yard, it did run but meaning to drop it at scrappys.
