Plastic on beaches

Me and my missus nipped to the beach this morning early for an hour as the forecast was looking good, was shocked to see how much plastic waste was on the beach, surprisingly quite a lot of plastic shotgun wads, came away feeling ashamed to be human ! I try my best not to buy plastic crap if I can help it, but all of us our guilty of adding to the problem, we just seem to be hell bent on ruining our planet don't we, what the solution is I don't know 😕

It’s estimated now that there is more plastic in the environment than the rest of the plant and tree life; I’m not certain how they figure this out, but what is certain is that there is indeed ‘a lot’, much of it in the form of microplastics, with its potential for harm.

Still, I’m sure we’ll all be getting something in the weekly shop wrapped in pretty much single use materials of one kind or another.

Small wonder the aliens prefer to keep out of our way. Intelligent life? 🤔

Hello, I use to get fed up catching old plastic netting beach fishing, Check out another report on shipping containers down on the south coast

Be aware what so -called "biodegradable plastic" actually means i.e refers to controlled industrial composting facilities, not farmland , watercourses or the sea. looks like the HSE/UKREACH didn't think about it!
