The GX10 is a re-badged Pentax K10D, and got excellent reviews.....I'd certainly use it in preference to a smartphone.
It is after all, purpose built for taking photo's.

10 megapixel is still acceptable then I guess? I think my phone is 48! Though the lenses are not going to come close to a slr camera.

I’ve shot front covers with a 6 megapixel camera; just means you have to get the composition right in camera as there are very few viable cropping options.
Unless you shoot in raw all the time with your phone it will probably be downsized from 48 to 12mp anyway.
 
Impressive teeth on Salmon when the gums recede! Had numerous cuts from Kelts over the years when unhooking them in the Spring. Still, the Tay opens in a little over two weeks and it all starts again - "Spring" fishing - never was something so badly named :)
Aye,the change in them in a few months is amazing and almost prehistoric looking.
Long time since i've wet a salmon fly in the spring,don't usually start until May these days but love the river for an early season troot or two.
