Pressure Washer recommendations for skull cleaning

Looking at getting a pressure washer for cleaning off heads after I have boiled them,

I currently have access to my dads pressure washer, however it is an extremely low pressure one that he uses for washing motorbikes to avoid taking the stickers off, and is absolutely no good for skull preparation,

On the other end of the spectrum, I have borrowed my cousins industrial grade pressure washer in the past, which cleans the heads excellently, however you have to be extremely careful not to damage the skull or strip the colour off the antlers due to it being so powerful.

What do other people use that has enough power to do a good job of cleaning the skull, without being stupidly powerful at the same time? It should also be said that I don't want to be spending a fortune on one, something cheap and cheerful that would get the job done would be fine. Thanks

buy a new karcher with the verio lance ,you can adjust the pressure from fairly low to take the paint off ! i say buy new as they are on offer and come with a three year warranty, my original one lasted for 22 years until the frost got to it <my fault i left it out side !> you can use it from a water tank or any water source if there is a hose pipe ban .

I haven't used a pressure washer on heads for many years . Boil them up with washing powder added bit of poking off regular garden hose pine and into the hairdressers bleach , rinse and dry
Find pressure washers too powerful or simply not durable

Using a karcher for a couple of seasons
Best thing I ever did regards cleaning
Yes it can remove nasal bones but they’re easily put back in place
I’ve found that a shorter boil time helps keep bones in place…especially on younger animals

As posts 10 and 11 suggest, there may indeed be a middle road to tread but unless you've need of a pressure washer for other chores I'd save your money and spend some of it on a good head support clamp, skull cutting jig and stainless long-nose pliers.

If your a member of cosco . They do a challenger . Presure is easily controlled by the revs. The knack is to make sure you don't over boil the heads . Then no issue with the noise parting from the skull .

You don't need a pressure washer to clean heads , though it helps if your doing a lot at once as it does speed things up . You do need a boiler though ( just add some soap powder ) then use a std garden hose pipe .
Unless you spend a lot on a commercial duty machine ( which are longer lasting )
