Hmmm. I think that there is a bit of a moral dilemma in this. The fact is that right or wrong ‘society” expects very high standards to be met from the family born to the throne, this includes the sons of the monarch. Consequently any departures from the “straight and narrow” will be heavily criticised and the UK press will inevitably make a meal of any indiscretions. The royal “players” know this and so any indiscretions must be kept very close to the chest so as not to reflect adversely on the already shaky “firm”. Of course these little indiscretions have been going on since the advent of royal families but society and particularly press scrutiny has changed immensely. Andrew knew this as do all of the family yet he still apparently engaged in something he should not have. To be fair the eldest son set a very poor example early on with Mrs PB and pretty much got away with his continual adultery with said woman. Sooo - no lessons have been learned and in her platinum year the Queen has again been embarrassed by the antics of another of her sons. Nothing new then but god only knows how she must be feeling as a result. She and she alone gets my sympathy.

According to the latest Guardian opinion he has 3 legal moves, none of them good . . .

He could attempt to settle the matter financially in an out-of-court agreement, although he may have to borrow heavily to do this. Ms Giuffre’s lawyers said this week she was interested in vindication rather than just money.
He could refuse to cooperate with the process, which would invite the court to issue a default judgment in favour of Ms Giuffre, which he could then also attempt to ignore – a humiliating course at every turn.
He could cooperate with the process, which would open him to a lot of further publicity, as well as detailed cross-examination that, judging by his television interview in 2019, he is badly equipped to handle.
None of these look promising for the reputations of the prince or the monarchy.

I am really not convinced that trying prosecute individuals today based on evidence from 20 or 30 years ago for indiscretions at parties and house parties fueled on alcohol and drugs is really in any bodies best interests, other the laywers who will making good fees.

True but look at how many celebrities from forty odd years ago have been chased, trialled and in some cases convicted.

Good point, think she went to train in Thai country under a grand master, but things did not go to plan, met ma instructor and eventually spat out some children along the way, for sure had her hands full.

As its a Civil Case you can't be jailed, but it is interesting that she never complained to the Police, but it is doubtful she was a unwilling participant, as she has already received $500K off Epstein one can assume she was well advised, so it seems odd after all this time she goes for more dosh, rather than at the time of the alleged incident(s) it basically rests on her word against Andrews, as Ii assume there were no actual witnesses, to what actually occurred..
HMaj must be feeling dreadful. none of her kids have done any good, all have had marriage problems, except Edward, so nothing to shout about there, remember her "Annus Horriblis", but when you look back at history, most of the Royals have been misfits, except HMaj of course who has served this country and commonwealth with fervour and pride, as she swore to on her Coronation.

Agree with all you say but I suspect that if she was under the age of consent she cannot give consent. Ergo anyone having sex with her is breaking the age of consent law. Not saying that is right of course rather a fact - subject to more informed SD correction, as ever!
