Proof research barrel

Has anyone ordered and received a proof research barrel from the uk importer highland outdoors?

But not from Highland

I think Highlands only sell to trade account customers. I’ve had a lot of Proof barrels from them.

Strange, a gunsmith has ordered a proof barrel from highland for me.
Someone else tells me that they only became the uk importer for proof in January and that when speaking to the proof factory 4 weeks ago highland had not ordered any stock!
Thought someone in stalking directory land could shed some light.
I’m thinking Brownells may be the better choice for supplier.

They have some in stock, CF and SS. I recently ordered a special order CF through them, delivery quoted as 16 -20 weeks from memory. Ive had others from them delivered next day.

Highlands have been a UK distributor for Proof Research for a number of years. Riflecraft also use to bring them in, or they can be got from Brownells UK as a special order.

So, CF barrel ordered 3rd July 25, should be in a container to hit UK in the next month, I hope its worth the wait.

I have had quite a game getting barrels from Highland Outdoors. They 'Lost' the first order but did eventually get my barrel. There has been an issue getting export paperwork in the US because of the Govt lockdown which delayed things.
