Pulling Bullets

For a couple of years now I have been using an RCBS collet type puller, every time I add a calibre I have to buy another collet.
This started to get to me, well that and the cost, and the bullets stuck in the collet, meaning remove the collet to retrieve the bullet.
Then I saw one of these mentioned on Reloader's Nest Grip-n-Pull The World's Best Bullet Puller
I contacted the seller and asked if he would ship to the uk, answer is yes.
Mine arrived yesterday, I have had a play and I am impressed, very quick and easy, no bullet or brass damage.
It came by letter post and even slipped through with no duty, which for me is almost a first.
It is well made and finished, the only thing to mention is pulling very short rounds in a big press, if the round doesn't stick out
the top of your press you will need a piece of tube, as shown on the site for the pistol round puller, I dare say he would supply one
but it would stop it coming letter post, and a couple of inches of alloy tube is not difficult or expensive to source over here.

Neil. :)

You can buy one if you want but you can make one cheaper. Take a pair of common pliers and cast a lubed/waxed bullet into the jaw area with Accra Glass. Cost one old pair of pliers and a bit of glass. It works, I've been using pliers for years.~Muir

I use pliers already on ones I don't want the bullets

have to say I have yet to come across a collet or press bases puller that doesn't mark the bullet in some way
I would need to be pulling an awful lot of bullets to justify the cost of one of those things

I can use the kinetic hammer without a mark, last tap is the crucial one

I have used pliers with a bit of thin leather on occasions or even pliers without the leather if the bullet is not needed.
That certainly looks such a simple thing it's a wonder it hasn't been on the market long ago.
Oh by, the way, they are on E Bay too.
