The rubber eyepiece has came off my thermal . I’ve bought a new eyepiece and it needs glued on . What’s the best glue to fix it on with . Any suggestions welcome thanks .

When i enquired at Thomas Jacks they said dont try yourself send it to us but i think its super glue

I made some eyepieces for mum's binoculars and also my range finder...from a squeegee rubber blade an O ring and superglue. Superglue would be the best thing for the rubber I think, but it depends what you are glueing it to.

Thomas Jacks suggested I bought some superglue to stick a replacement rare earth magnet on my Axion Key rubber lens cap.

Aquasure id say superglue is no good on flexible things imho

Superglue on rubber is the mutts nuts IMHO...

It was designed to glue squishy wounds together....neoprene O rings are the classic, I have been making them for years from my kit of neoprene rubber coils....mentioned it in this thread...

Improvement to laser rangefinder with home made eye cup

I first heard of it demonstrated on a taut liner truck curtain tensioner...a giant O ring tensioned with a cam lever. The guy cut one, put the glue on and held it together for a minute or two then hooked on and swung the lever.

This is my flexible rangefinder eyepiece made from a rubber cord O ring glued to a rolled squeegee blade linked to in the thread from 2012 and still going strong 9 years later...

I have just replaced an eye piece on my HELION. I cleaned up the previous eye piece rubber from the lens cover rim and very sparingly touched a bit of superglue on the inside of the rim and it’s as good as new.

Thanks lads for the comments , this is the second time I’ve lost it , the terrain I shoot in is sore on everything so I’ll try the super glue , I tried Sikaflex last time so that doesn’t work . 👍thanks
