Pulsar telos xq35 lrf

Hi all
So I've had pulsar thermal for years find them great products never had a problem with them but I fancy an upgrade so my thermal has a built in range finder

I mainly use my thermal at night for foxing and stalking but main use is night time foxing
I've had the helion xq38 and the same again currently using now helion 2

So i want to or thinking of upgrade to the pulsar telos xq35 LRF

• what's peoples thoughts and personal experiences with the telos?? if the xq35 model even better

• will I notice an update in picture quality over the past model I'm using now??

I've not held or seen one in person yet see what people thought before I did

A local keeper ‘upgraded’ from his Helion 2 XP50 Pro to a Telos. (Non LRF, not sure which model)

He finds that he has to constantly adjust the settings on the Telos to achieve a clear image and wishes now that he had kept his Helion 2 XP50 Pro, which was much more ‘user friendly’.

I’ll be sticking with my own Helion 2 XP50 Pro for the time being.
Good piece of equipment!

Interesting to know
I do like my helion it's not fussy on focus l must say I don't touch front focus ring much

You didn't see much over the helion 2 in picture quality?

I mean I am happy with the helion does what I need it to do but it's the LRF function I really want now

We already know what your thoughts will be!! Comparing the Telos it against a 7 year old Quantum isn’t really a contest.

I upgraded from a Helion 2 XP50 to Telos XP50 LRF when they first came out. Others more knowledgeable on here rightly pointed out that in thermal terms I wouldn’t see any significant difference but I too was keen to have LRF, I liked the increased battery life (stunning in actual use), the future upgrade potential and, as my Helion 2 was also an early buy, its warranty was running out. I sold it on at the sweet spot and moved on to the Telos. Overall, I’m very happy although about 2 weeks ago I had a complete display failure. SCI have sent it back to Pulsar for repair. Once the XL upgrade route is established, I’ll probably bean early adopter too - I genuinely like it more than the Helion 2 now and am happy with my upgrade.

As already stated, what benefit do you expect from comparing performance of an original Quantum XQ38 with a Telos?
Things have moved on so much in between times.

Haven't a clue as the 35mm Telos was only released in UK at the Stalking Show had a look in hall hence the need to have a good field test. Nothing wrong with my Quantum but if the Telos is an OMG experience then may upgrade.
