Pure Cremations.

I've decided ...... You MUST make your plans known! My beloved next of kin know exactly my wishes, No expense. No funeral cars /entourage, flowers etc blah blah blah.
A simple cremation or burial (whichever the cheapest) Ashes spread somewhere dear to their hearts where theirs will eventually be!
Exactly this......
Make sure you have it written down and your grasping relatives (oops sorry, your nearest and dearest!) know where the instructions are. Think what music you want, where to have your ashes spread and how much to leave behind the bar for those left behind. I've been to fair number of funerals for various reasons and have had some good laughs in amongst the tears - one of the best had photo's projected onto the wall of the Crematorium of the deceased.....my, there were some belly laughs!

Yes write it down, get it properly recorded.
When my father died he had been ill with bowel cancer for some months and had written a carefully drafted will prepared by a solicitor but he failed to record his wishes regarding the funeral arrangements. He had always made it known to all his children that he didn't want a funeral but he had remarried after my mother died and his new wife had decided that he would have a funeral as she considered that the right thing to do. Legally there was nothing that we could have done if we had decided to cause a fuss, but for the sake of not causing upset we went along with it despite knowing full well that it would have been against his wishes.

my father is 77 and he has always said he wants to be a “donated to science” when he dies, but he hasn’t actually organised anything.…how do I go about getting him booked in?
I went this way.

I made enquiries a few years ago and was told that where we live you have to approach the university hospital at the time and that they don't always accept donations.
