QR mounts

Apologies if this sounds like a simpleton sort of question but QR is a new concept to me.
How easy/hard should it be to nip these little fellas up when properly adjusted?

I realise they should come to a snug tension before the end of their travel (if that makes sense) but the only instructions I can find say the locking collar on the opposite side should be "tightened but not too tightened"

It's an MAKuick mount on 12mm prism rail (Haenel Jaeger 9)

What I mean is should I be able to move the little locking levers to this position by hand without having to resort to more force than can be exerted by my thumbs alone?

Thumb force

The adjusters on the other side are used to fine tune the process...
