Quarry Tile Floor Grout Sealing.

We have a nice quarry tile floor in our kitchen that has quite wide (1/2") gaps between the tiles that looks to be filled with a very hard light sandy coloured sand/cement mortar type of grout.

We can clean this grout with a little steam cleaner or by scrubbing it (takes ages to do) and it comes up lovely. But, within a few weeks it looks very grubby again. Can anyone please recommend a product we can use on the grout after cleaning which will seal the rough surface & make it easier to keep clean? It needs to be a matt finish & preferably something we could use on the whole floor but without affecting the current dull appearance of the tiles (definitely don't wanr a shiny surface), as I really don't fancy painting every single grout line individually!

Bournes Traffic Wax. Doesn't give a gloss finish, just wash the floor, and apply when floor still damp. Leave to dry and rub down with a dry mop or an old towel - to be honest, we don't bother rubbing it down as this reduces any glossing. Reapply every so often as required.
