Its definitely Muntjac for me, however the taste of Fallow and Red does seem to vary so much depending on the age of the beast and time of year shot

Muntjac
Young fallow doe
CWD
Roe doe

The boys of any species are so variable and, as mentioned, vary between dribblesome and bin worthy

Red easily, yearling preferable but you can get a proper sized steak off one,

Muntjac but you need an entire back leg to yourself,

Roe third cooked in pork fat @Kjf
Ey up big man , giz a buzz ,

Camp fire meat is THE best , that yearling red though mmmmmmmmnnnnn,

Been busy as feck bro ,

Not venison but 2kg of rib eye, ready for the caravan.

Keep in touch

Lean Roe loin/fillet fried in butter, fatty sika ribs or chump roasted, red rump steak with a nice layer of fat, burgers, sausages, simple slow cooked neck/bone stews with bread...can't really go wrong with any of it.
