Re-gas needed suffolk

Just put my chiller on and it's not cooling down......

the fan is working so my only guess is that it needs gas. It's a single door drinks chiller, and it worked just fine a month or so ago.

is anyone able to do this (or recommend someone who can)?????

Mike it could be the thermostat sticking it quite common when fridges have not been used.

It could well be the thermostat you need to check if the compressor is running if it's not when it should be then the thermostat needs checking at worst the compressor has failed. If it's running there should be temp difference across the pipes on compressor. Smaller pipe discharge should be hot to touch and the larger pipe suction should be cold if it's not chances are short of refrigerant or compressor not pumping.

It will probably cost you more to gas or fix it than buying another one of eBay mike ,acorn refrigeration is near to you and he doesn't charge the earth pm me if you want his number .

if it needs gas then it must have a leak as its a sealed system.there is no good putting gas in until the leak is found.

just as berg say it will probably be cheaper to get another second hand one
