HUNTER is a very interesting book, unbelievable how things have changed in Africa in such a relatively short time. John Hunters first job in Africa was guard on a train, they used to stop the train so that he could shoot elephants! He also shot over 1000 rhino during the land clearance era in Kenya. I have a copy if anyone wants a read.
Times were certainly different then, you can't help feel nostalgic about this and admire the men who were, "the great white hunters" of the time however it also brings feelings of regret for what has been lost, or perhaps more honestly what is no longer there for us jealousy of what our ancestors had, & squandered.
