Recommendation me a Kydex sheath maker

Hi guys,

I’m looking for someone to make a Kydex sheath for me, having had a Google I haven’t found anyone, that’s responded to messages/email.

I didn’t think it would be that hard to find someone. Does anyone have any recommendations?

It's really not difficult to make your own. There is of course a 'leap of faith' moment, but its actually quite easy to manipulate. I've made a number now.

I have thought about doing my own as there’s not much to it. I just can’t be bothered with doing it though, got more pressing things to be doing with my time!

Really easy to make your own.

Kydex [thermoplastic] becomes utterly pliable when heated with a garage heat gun. Just keep moving gun around until whole piece is pliable. It stays pliable for perhaps a minute after heat is removed

The sheet can then be folded around object as required. I use a home made press [plywood and foam] and my hands. A bit burny to the fingertips but bearable.

Is it not to brace against when pulling the knife out? Required because they can be very tight.

Yep, you put your thumb against it. This is one he made for me on a custom F1.

Let’s agree it’s not “essential” but vacuum pressure ensures the best (most detailed) profiling results?
