Redding FL die, really poor quality

Had a problem with a Redding FL Die, bore seemed to be cut with a blunt reamer and little attempt to hone and polish!
It was really horrible to use. This is the second poorly finished die I have had from Redding.

Redding are not being particularly helpful with this problem, I guess we in the UK get fobbed off with the crap as usual.
So much for 'quality'.

I had a similar problem with a Hornady die. TBH they sent a replacement die straight away so no complaints there. My Redding dies have always been excellent so I am a bit surprised!

Me too! Was concerned that it was the second Redding die with a poor internal finish.
I was able to lap the other but this one is really poor - a little too much to lap.
Fortunately I have a duplicate in this particular die.

Gave up with Hornady dies, that stupid sliding decap spindle was enough for me to fire em in the bin - never again!

I think I have mentioned my $270 US Redding "BR-3 Precision Match" micrometer powder measure that is only half as accurate as the Lee at 1/10th the price??
Hornady dies are total junk. I've bought two sets in the last three years and both were defective in large ways.~Muir
