Selling my Rem 700 SA GRS Hunter Laminate Stock that’s come off my Ruger .204

Stock has been damaged but professionally repaired (see pics) It’s been repaired 4 years with no issues.

Spartan adapter not included

Out of curiosity, how did the stock get broken? I’ve seen pics of a number of GRS stocks that have been broken in the same place & wonder if it’s a design fault/weakness or is it just where they break if you drop them? Interested as I have two & wondering whether it might be wise to do some pre-emptive reinforcement by putting a pin down through the hand.

Was leaning up against a gate and fell. This has been drilled and doweled so is probably stronger

Thanks. I think during the ‘off season’ I may well drill & pin mine as a preventative measure 👍 Can do it so the pin is hidden under the rear of the action & use a brass rod or piece of stainless stud so nice & strong.
