Remember remember the first of November...

It’s doe season K - bucks are safe from me for the next 4 & a bit months (unless a dopey pricket or buck fawn is in the wrong place at the wrong time 😉).
@Klenchblaize - you’ll be pleased to hear that this evenings haul was two young male fallow, a Buck fawn & a pricket. Yep, they were in the wrong place at the wrong time 👍

November is going well this year & still over 4 months to go 🦌

Well, I’m pleased to say that this weekend has seen a continuation of the run of luck (can’t call it anything else) on the fallow with four more in the chiller, including two from foot stalks in places where it’s not easy get in unnoticed. Bonus is a muntie buck for the freezer too 👍.

Tonight’s seat had a lovely view & the pic doesn’t do justice to the ambience - not that you can see it unfortunately as it seems that pics on my phone are now too big to upload… never had the problem before, not changed my phone, anyone else struggling to upload pics too??

On todays every growing ‘to do’ list is glue the bedding pillars into the GRS stock for my 6.5x47. The first stage of the ‘building’ of my dedicated Alpex rifle… I’ve got fed up with lugging an AICS stocked monster around so it’s going into a more manageable stock. Once the pillars are in it’ll get a full bedding job for good measure. Then a picatinny rail is going on & the scope is going to be mechanically centred so the LRF box sits just above the centre of the reticle. Hopefully by the time that’s all done I’ll have loaded some more ammo & can get it zeroed & back into use.
