Northern Cape Rhino Conservation (Green Dart) Hunt – South Africa
We are pleased to offer a Rhino Green (Dart) Conservation Hunt in South Africa’s Northern Cape, aimed at hunters who wish to take part in hands-on wildlife management while completing an important Big Five conservation milestone.
The hunt is conducted on a privately managed reserve located approximately one hour’s drive from Kimberley Airport. Due to the remote location — and for security and safety reasons — the exact location is not disclosed publicly.
To ensure a smooth and comfortable journey, a return domestic flight between Johannesburg and Kimberley is included in the package price, avoiding a long five-hour road transfer from Johannesburg.
This is a structured conservation operation carried out in cooperation with a licensed wildlife veterinarian and forms part of an ongoing rhino monitoring and protection programme.
Once the rhino has been successfully darted, the veterinarian will conduct essential procedures including:

DNA sampling
Blood analysis
Microchipping (where required)
Health assessments
And pregnancy checks where applicable.

Although rhino have limited eyesight, their sense of smell and hearing are exceptional, making the approach and darting process both challenging and rewarding. Engagement distances are close, and calm execution is essential.
(Attached image shows a 24-inch animal from the reserve.)
The hunt is conducted under the guidance of an experienced dangerous game Professional Hunter, ensuring safety, ethics, and professionalism throughout.
