Rods/pull through VS boresnake

When cleaning my shotgun I very rarely use anything other than a boresnake. I know you can get them for rifles but are they any good compared to the traditional rods / pull throughs?

Just wondering if the rifling makes any difference to their performance as they're excellent in a smooth bore.

Well i had one jam in my .222 and it had too be sent to the gun smiths to get fixed. My father snapped one in his .222 and it ended up having to be burned out. Leaving marks on the rifling just out of the chamber. So since these too experiences i wont put another one through any rifle i own. Im sure plenty ppl will praise them but in my opinion you can beat a good old pull through with a patch.

keep hearing about them jamming but can't understand how it happens
i have them for all calibres now
they do a great job for a quick light clean.
I add some solvent to the bristle brush bit and some light oil about 6" further down. works a charm
