No rutting in South Ayrshire this weekend, plenty doe's and kids around, only 1 spiker buck seen, so the chances are it's been and gone
Seen the first buck on a doe this morning down in galloway, seems to just be a little quiet right now we've had a lot cooler over the last few days.No rutting in South Ayrshire this weekend, plenty doe's and kids around, only 1 spiker buck seen, so the chances are it's been and gone![]()

This has been the case in some years on our ground at the top of the Galloway Forest, especially around a full moon..Seeing plenty people saying not got going in their area yet. Unless happening at night maybe?
Annnnnnd that worked incredibly well, ended up shooting two seen probably half a dozen more.Gonna have a mooch about mid day I doubt we will see much, but too us from what we've witnessed here recently It seems like were missing something.
Kind of seems like the deer are up grazing at mid-day some point and then waiting until pretty much darkness too come out (dont use thermals, so just assuming)
