Hi if you go for the Vorn, great bit of kit, make sure it's the Vorn Fox.

I am thinking hard about getting the Vorn fox as a light daypack for deer stalking and also because it can double as a scabbard on my larger hunting pack and keen to hear from someone with experience with one... Do you think in day pack mode the fox model is strong enough to have a small deers (sika) hindquarters (say 10kg) lashed to it For a 1-2hr carry? Any info appreciated.

Don't think it was designed for that type of work, you would have problems in the long term, look for a back pack with a frame.

The vorn backpack is some bit of kit. Pricey but I really like it.
