Up for sale is my Ruger M77 mk II in .308

£300
can RFD to RFD

Nice and light rifle, for carrying around all day. I have taken 38 deer with this, from 35m to 220m, and it’s always been a pleasure. It was bought second hand, so round count is unknown but I have put less than 200 rounds through it.
Stock has dings from use.

Factory ammo wise;
- Doesn’t like Norma 168gr
- Likes anything RWS

20” barrel is not screw cut.

Scope not included. Comes with Ruger 1” rings.

Fantastic rifle! I have the newer Hawkeye version in 308 and incredibly accurate and reliable.

Unreal rifle the love hondary 150g actually a great rifle for small money only I have it I buy this one

With a 20" barrel, your rifle is likely to be an Ultra Light model, the caliber stamping was 4 to 5" down the barrel on the Ultra Light models. I have a M77 MK I Ultra Light version in .308 that I've used for nearly 40 years, it saw a lot of Scotland red deer culling use. I still have the rifle, it is super accurate, I shot a lot of deer at long ranges despite the 20" barrel. The weight and balance of the Ultra Light is magnificent. In the US these rifles are very much in demand, your price is crazy cheap.

If it were not for the variation requirements and the pressure to limit number of same caliber firearms on my FAC I would snap this up. I know we all want the latest models, latest stocks, finish etc. but this model truly is a wonderful light weight rifle. There were articles published that the 20" barrel may be more accurate than the standard length barrels as they reduced barrel whip, I often shot mine at 600M range shoots. GLWS
